A trypical mid-century cotton household cloth, found worn to thinning from heavy use and tearing across its surface. Patches cut from my own work shirt - held at their edges, the damage beneath still present, still moving. Someone's initials came with the cloth; I've echoed them at the corner in my own hand, at the boundary of where the cloth gave way.
